Le magasin ferme

The store closes. The doors are closed. The lights as well. And they will stay that way. Since 1997, every time a store announces it will be closing, the heart of Edon tightens. He then compulsively buys goods from the business in decline. Through empathy, and to keep a souvenir.

Multidisciplinary performance with spoken word, dance and video, Le Magain Ferme is an ode to nostalgia from the time when stores were gathering points, and sites of exchange. This creation comes from accumulation and contamination… and provokes the irresistible urge to shout slogans out loud ; « Cessez de fermer ! » « On en a ras le bol ! »

All performances of Le Magasin Ferme are offered in a relaxed and
inclusive format.

Relaxed performances are open to all, and can appeal specifically to people who have a sensory or intellectual disability, a neurological or learning disability, and to people with newborns or special needs. The sound and visual ambience of the show as
well as the reception are adapted to create a calm and inclusive environment.

Performances are also accessible to persons with reduced mobility and
wheelchair users. However, it is not available in Langue des signes québécoise
(LSQ), American Sign Language (ASL), or through described audio.
