Who’s watching when I close my eyes unfolds a three-part reflection on the unconscious forces that shape our inner worlds and collective actions. If, despite our desire for freedom, we endlessly repeat the same patterns and submit to invisible forces, are our fates already sealed?
A woman allows herself to be carried by the underground currents of the unconscious. Following a thread that knots itself endlessly, she encounters the shadow selves that inhabit her. Together, they trace the map of an unknown territory, where fear and desire stir.
A group of individuals constructs a machine whose purpose spirals beyond their control. Unable to break the chain of mechanisms set in motion, they become both operators and witnesses to a vast project of destruction.
Amid the remains of this installation, a man prepares to take the stage. He shares an intriguing dream and fragments of his life as they come to him. His telling offers a glimmer of meaning in the face of the world’s absurdity and our powerlessness to alter the inevitable course of things.
